Aerobic Packing Dance Party!!!
May 31, 2008
So I was supposed to go to an Epicurean party today with Cori which I was looking forward to all week long except I am an idiot and thought it was at 7pm when it was actually at 2pm. Instead I was having my own Aerobic-Packing Dance Party here until the thunderstorm started to drown out my music. My first impulse when it rains is to automatically go stand in it, which I did. Actually I ran out into it, squealed that it was freezing, and ran back in. Then I ran out again. Then my mom told me to go put a bucket out to collect water since we do not have a rain barrel. Then I ran out into one last time just for kicks.

I love rain.

Operation Bedroom Disaster is going well. It's very close to being back to acceptable human living conditions. I found some interesting things! There were hate letters from my ex-boyfriends ex girlfriend from back in high school that I had printed for whatever reason. She really hated me! The worst part was a lot of what she said about him in those emails turned out to be true! Not true: The parts where she called me a skanky ho-bag slut like 900 times.

Other items found: A brand new pack of birth control that expired in 2005. (What a waste!) A large stack of ancient Cosmos, A plastic pumpkin party straw from the Halloween party I went to with Dave in Florida (Right next door to one of The Apprentice contestants!) One slutty fishnet thing-high from said party, A pack of foil dolphin stickers (I think I got them in my Christmas stocking when I was 11) The missing smell beads to my 'Nature Clock' alarm clock. (Now I can wake up to the smell of fake coffee in the morning!) And lastly the corpse of the stupid bug that was flying around here two days ago. I win asshole!

I am sure this list is only going to get stranger as I start digging around in other areas of the house. I basically have a quarter of a century of crap to go through. Thank god the purger in me has finally matured!

Oh and Happy Birthday to my Dog! He is 10 today (70 in dog years).

Flair!
May 28, 2008
I'm still in a mess of packing madness, probably for the rest of my life. I'd probably be making more progress if I wasn't so easily sidetracked. For instance, Brandi and I can not stop playing with the Flair application on Facebook. It's so addictive! We have a bad day, we go home and make Flair. We get bored, we go online and make Flair. We can't stop Flair-ing each other!

::miss brandi:: says:
I'm going to make flair, it fixes everything.

Then today, I remembered that I own a button press and if we wanted to we could make real life flair whenever we wanted to, while drinking tequila, because that's what her and I do. We drink tequila and we make crafts. Bring on the mutha-fuckin' Sauza, it's craft time!

Other things that seem to be sidetracking me lately: Trying to convince Dave to let me get a puppy/kitten/bunny/goat. I asked him if I could have a hedgehog today and I think he might almost be convinced because he spent the day sending me videos and emails about them. Now I just have to upgrade 'Hedgehog' to 'Boston Terrier Puppy' and we're good to go! Tomorrow I engage Plan B and start spamming him with this:

Seriously, try to resist.

Clusterf*#k
May 21, 2008
Only 6 weeks to go! I took the liberty of changing my Facebook network already. I feel pretty cool about that. Now maybe I will avoid the requests of the mutants at work. How many times do I have to reject you before you learn?

I have to say that packing sucks. A lot. Especially when you have my organizational skills. Wanna see what happened when I tried to sort out my closet?

This. This is what happened.

This happened because my irrational brain told me to just pull everything out of the closet to sort it. That was three weeks ago. As you can see nothing is sorted, in fact it is a total clusterfuck that I don't want to deal with at all now. Brandi and I tried to have a contest to see who could get the most boxes packed but after an hour we both came back and confessed we had done nothing. I think I labelled a box. That was it. I got too sidetracked with uploading old photos on Flickr. Need to make use of that pro account somehow.

Make Me Wine
May 15, 2008
Only five weeks to go as of tomorrow! Five weeks sounds a lot better then seven weeks did, so every week from here on in, I will be doing a happy dance. And then probably a sad dance when I remember I still have to find another job sometime soon--a good paying job--because, ya know, my expensive penthouse rent kicks in. But whatever, it only costs the same amount in rent a year as my current salary. Nothing to freak out over.

So on to other things, I picked up some cheese for wine and cheese night (a.k.a my most favourite night.) I got some Applewood smoked cheddar, which is one of my favourite types of cheese, as well as an Irish cheddar with Guinness! It looks so disgusting but I've been assured it is tasty so we will have to see. I figure D likes cheese and D likes Guinness, so D has to like Guinness cheese. Even if he refuses to eat things like fresh figs simply because he does not like how they look. I, on the other hand, have already been conditioned from birth to enjoy horrible looking/sounding things, thanks to my British parents. My prediction is that everyone else will refuse to eat it, but I will end up loving it and will eat the entire thing. Pretty much like I do when the Stilton or other blue cheese gets busted out. I absolutely will not eat block cheese after it's gone mouldy and someone has cut the mould off, but bring on the stinky Stilton by all means! (Although, the same can be said vice versa to the people who won't eat blue cheese but have no problem eating de-fuzzed marble. Except for the added fact that they are just pure disgusting.)

Really wine and cheese night is just an excuse for Brandi and I to hang out and get drunk together while Jay and Dave have a date. Except this time Brandi is bringing a new board game - 'The Da Vinci Dilemma' so now it's just an excuse for me to act like a raging jerk by breaking all the rules!

***Just a side note: Last night I was watching Rachel Ray (not by choice) and remember those sweet ass turquoise Pyrex bowls I got? She was using the same ones! Curses to you Rachel Ray! Your voice makes my ears bleed.***

Happy Mother's Day
May 11, 2008

Happy Mother's Day Mum!

Thanks for letting me raid the house for things to sell in my garage sale.

Oh, and for letting me use the garage too! Also, thanks for not making me help you garden today, I know this is the one day of the year where you can make me do that but I still hate bugs and getting dirty.

Not Awful
May 5, 2008
Today was not at all terrible like I had anticipated. It actually turned out to be a pretty good day. I have a tendency to fear the worst but nothing ever turns out to be as bad as I expect it. So all is now good and I am actually getting pretty excited. Excited or totally jacked on Red Bull--one or the other. God, I love Red Bull. It's like candied crack in a can!

Seven weeks to go and I will be counting every day!

Chromeo Zombies
May 3, 2008
I know I'm going to wear this song out but I had to post this. So badly that I had to adjust my entire layout and make a new header so that it would fit.

It is probably the single most awesome thing I have ever seen in my life.

This Pretty Much Sums Up How I Feel Today
May 2, 2008

Exhibit A and B.

Habitual drinking. Doing shots while holding a baby. It's all the same to me.

It's the officially the weekend now and all I can think about is how terrible Monday is going to be and how much less it would suck if I wasn't stuck in limbo in every aspect of my life as it seems. My frustration level is maxed out. Normally I would fix this by going out and buying myself something lovely but my good friend Visa is also maxed out at the moment and would probably spontaneously combust if I tried to use it. This is sad because the sales this weekend are at level awesome. Did you hear me? LEVEL AWESOME!

It is totally going to be a Blockbuster and Mint M&M's night.
