Not dead, I promise.
October 8, 2008
I know, I know! I suck at updating! I've just been really busy. Busy as in, by the time I get home from work, slave over French onion soup for three hours, eat, do the dishes and catch a little Ramsey or Grey's on TV-- it's time for bed.

Friends are beginning to think I am dead.

I can't even remember my weekends.

That is my life in a nutshell.

Oh, but we did paint the apartment and I spent $500 on new clothes in my favourite store BECAUSE I CAN. I also got a haircut and colour spanning over three days because apparently Toronto salons can't do both at once? That's like getting married on a Friday or painting wood floors black. Really, who does that? This city is strange sometimes.

Anyways, another reason for not updating is because I've been meaning to do a redesign and move my blog over to my unused hosting for over a month now, but I can't do that until I move my ill-designed web store to another folder, which should be a piece of cake, but in actuality
is a giant pain in the ass. So maybe by the next time I update there will be pictures and shiny new things to snoop about in. Oh and recipes, lots of recipes, because I've more or less turned my kitchen into a rye-bread-pumpernickle factory.

Care to share a recipe? I was struck by the urge to bake some rye bread today. I even stopped at the bulk store and picked up some rye flour and caraway seeds.

I totally will! It was the one from the Artisan Bread book and it was FANTASTIC. I have the pumpernickel dough in my fridge too I just haven't had a chance to bake it yet. (You need some fancier ingredients though for that - like caramel colour.)
